In The Spotlight: Big Events and the Games Engine

Dan Williams, VP of Client Services, provides insight into our Free-To-Play Games Engine and how it can be used for the biggest sporting events of the year.

Dan, before we know it the college football bowl games, the Super Bowl and even March Madness will be here. Can our games engine be used by companies looking to engage with their audiences for these events?

Yes, absolutely. This time of year is exactly why we built the games engine. The college bowls and March Madness are relatively far apart on the calendar but for most companies looking to build free-to-play games, there simply isn’t enough time to create games for both events.

However, at Spotlight Sports Group, our games engine is built with time sensitivity in mind. We have the ability to create a microsite or embed our games engine into any existing platform within weeks. Our designers will maintain your branding and we create contests in our partners’ look and feel. Our games engine can also be licensed. Companies can create their own simple contest with their personalized admin in minutes without the help of tech.

So, we can create games for any company surrounding any event with relative ease, allowing our partners to not worry about using their development resources during the busiest time of the year.

Is there any limit to the types of games the Games Engine can create?

Our games engine is very diverse, the admin allows you to create any free-to-play game style contest in a variety of different formats. We have the ability to create the squares game everyone knows best from the Super Bowl, pick ‘em games, multiple choice games, the bracket challenge for March Madness and everything in between.

The best part is that you can create all of these games at the same time. Once the microsite is created or the games engine CMS is uploaded into the backend of an existing platform any number of games can be built at a moment’s notice.

What other benefits does our Games Engine offer that is beneficial to our partners?

I would say there are two important things to mention here. The first is the simplicity of the user interface for both our partners and the participants of the games. While we have an expert team that specializes in creating and managing the games for our partners the games can be created by anyone at any time.

The user interface takes less than 30 minutes to learn and then our partners can easily create their own games at will. Additionally, the participants can easily sign up for any game created and the whole process is outlined step-by-step should they run into any issues.

Secondly, I would say the login authentication our games engine provides is an essential part of its functionality. Participants are required to create an account and on the backend, a comprehensive list of names and email addresses of all participants can be exported with the click of a button.

Free-to-play games are a key part of building marketing databases for our partners and we have made sure we help them do that in the simplest way possible.

Is there anything else you would like people to know about the games engine?

I would just like to let everyone know that we have a special games package available for the upcoming events we discussed earlier (college bowl games, the Super Bowl and March Madness) that I think is really exciting.

I’m also always available to connect about the games engine or anything else. My calendar is always up to date and anyone can schedule time with me here.
