Our history


  • 1986: Launch of the daily newspaper, Racing Post, in the UK and Ireland
  • 1996: Launch of Betting Shop Display Edition of Racing Post
  • 1997: Launch of
  • 2007: Launch of B2B content syndication business
  • 2008: William Hill become the first partner to integrate our horseracing content
  • 2009: Launch of our industry-leading Racing Post app
  • 2016: Exponent Private Equity acquired the business
  • 2018: Acquisition of MyRacing, FreeSuperTips and ICS
  • 2019: Become a licensed affiliate in the US with the launch of Pickswise
  • 2020: Rebrand of the business from Racing Post Group to Spotlight Sports Group
