In The Spotlight: Free-To-Play Games for the NFL Season

Dan Williams, VP of Client Services, provides insight into our Free-To-Play Games Engine and how can be used throughout the NFL season

Dan, with the NFL season fully underway, can you explain how our games engine can be used to engage with NFL fans?

Our games engine is a great tool for companies to utilize for audience engagement throughout the NFL season because of its flexibility. The games engine can create season-long pick ‘em contests that allow any number of players to participate and will keep audiences coming back to the website every week.

Additionally, the games engine allows for essentially any type of game to be created. So, our partners can develop games with questions about a specific week, game, or even team and have their audience compete against each other.

Are there ways for the games engine to be utilized to educate audiences on sports betting even if they aren’t in legalized betting markets yet?

Yes, definitely. We know that the user journey from sports fan to sports bettor generally includes participation in free-to-play games along the way.

With the ability to make pick ‘em games and multiple choice questions, all of our contests can be created to somewhat mirror betting options. The questions can utilize betting terminology like moneyline, spread, over/under, etc. which will familiarize the audience with sports betting in a simple way.

In states with legal or soon-to-be legalized betting, this can also be very beneficial to platforms looking to create a long-term home for sports bettors.

Is there any other way the games engine can be beneficial to companies that integrate it into their platform?

As with most of our products, the games engine is completely white-label. So the platforms we integrate it into will have it made so it matches their look and feel, or any look they want. This is important because of the opportunity for sponsorship of season-long contests.

During March Madness many companies have their bracket challenges sponsored by other brands. The same can be done for season-long NFL pick ’em contests or any other game created. This allows for another revenue stream with no added work for our partners.

Is there anywhere people can go to learn more about the games engine?

We have a great spot on our website here with some additional information about the games engine and a quick video about it as well. Additionally, I am always happy to connect with people about the games engine or any of our other products so anyone can put time on my calendar here.
