Announcing the Racing Post Horseracing Tipster – available now

What is it?

The Racing Post Horseracing Tipster is a new product that has been developed to give bookmaker and racecourse customers a unique approach to viewing Racing Post stats and tips.

The Tipster collates a variety of stats and tips from valued Racing Post data to provide a stream of bet-prompting content on upcoming races, providing top-quality information to not only help an expert punter reach a decision on what to bet on but also help a complete novice on their first day at the races too.

How does it work?

The Tipster is an HTML5 based product, powered by the Racing Post API, and runs from a secure URL hosted by Racing Post. It will run on any device with internet access that can display a browser and is most effective on a large HD screen (either portrait or landscape). As an example, the Tipster will happily run on a Intel Compute Stick(~£120) plugged into the HDMI port of a TV screen, making this an extremely cost-effective solution. Being an HTML5 based product, the Tipster will also run on most existing digital-signage networks and devices.

What content is available?

Once loaded, the RP Tipster runs autonomously and provides a wide array of information for each race as listed below:

  • Race Info
  • Racecard
  • Key Stats
  • Racing Post Spotlight selection
  • Racing Post Predictor
  • Newspaper Tips
  • Bet Prompts selected from: Ahead of the handicapper, course jockey, course trainer, horses for courses, hot jockey, hot trainer, most napped, most tipped, postdata selection, RPR selection, seven day winners, trainers & jockeys, travellers’ check.

The Tipster also provides space for bookmakers and racecourses to place marketing, special offers or information that will scroll through with the bet prompts and the bar at the bottom of the screen can be customised to show operator logos and a further marketing message.

The races shown on screen can be customised by applying filters on meetings, races, minutes and number of races so operators can decide on what to show e.g. just races from a single course (or courses), only races in the next 30 minutes, only the next 3 races due off or just the big races of the day.
