Racing Post well represented at SBC’s Betting on Sports conference
Horseracing and greyhound racing is built for betting but are there too many different formats around the globe? Do the differences put off punters or not? Do greyhound races travel better than horses?
With our international horseracing content launching just last week it is fitting that we have been given the opportunity to discuss this topic at the fast-approaching Betting on Sports conference. Our B2B Director Eugene Delaney will be on a panel of five to give an overview of the international market alongside moderator, Todd Buckingham, CEO, The BetMakers.
Discussing the topic and event, Eugene Delaney, B2B Director, Racing Post said: “I’m looking forward to a jam-packed schedule of top quality speakers. For us, the focus is international racing so we will aim to hear others opinions and likewise share ours. I’ll be discussing the future of international racing, its challenges and the potential it can offer the industry.”
Bruce Millington will also be present at the conference on a panel discussing talent recruitment for the US. The sudden acceleration of sports betting has left operators, suppliers, affiliates and even regulators with massive challenges in recruiting experienced staff. The team of experts will cover what skill sets are needed in the US now and longer-term and the range of opportunities open to individuals in the industry.
Jaap Kalma, Group Chief Commercial Officer for SBC spoke about the quality of speakers at the upcoming event: “For the 2019 edition we’ve assembled our biggest and best speaker line-up yet. This line-up of 300 experts includes a strong contingent of C-level executives from operators in established European markets, the USA, Latin America and other emerging markets, all ready to share their insights.”
